I think Annie is right on her analysis of the stuff.
Unfortunately mankind resolve problems when they appear, we don´t prevent situations like this.
During the industrial revolution no one was thinking on the earth resources, apparently they were infinites.
In my view, the situation should became untenable and in that moment mankind will work on the solutions. Sounds pesimistic but I think that´s is the story of mankind.
Yes, The video show us the reality (although we do not want understand), the garbage is top because we are impulsive consumer and we do not think what would happen tomorrow whith these garbage.
So the best way (and it is my point of view) is not consume more that we need and recycle.
